[Wherever Connor is beep brooding, Shang Qinghua is there. That wherever, it turns out, is the pool!

He vaguely remembers that this is where Luna hypothesized he might have escaped from during his stint as an octopus. He walks along the edge of the pool to where Connor stands.]

Do you enjoy watching the fish, Connor?

[Which is a vague answer, but. Hi. Hello. Connor is looking away from the fish tank once Shang Qinghau approaches, hands clasped in front of him. It's hard to tell how long he's been here, exactly.]

Hello, Shang Qinghau. Is there anything I can help you with today?

[nosediving]

[It's fascinating, how sophisticated machinery is in other worlds that a creation like Connor can offer such human responses. Shang Qinghua glances at the tank.]

Actually, I have questions, if you are willing to answer them. Have you spoken with Great Piety recently?

[tootsiepop]

[Hm. That wasn't a question he was expecting, but...]

I spoke to Piety after the previous trial, but not this week. Why do you ask?

[nosediving]

During our last audience, this one received a request from Great Piety to find participants willing to speak with him. For what, I do not know. But Great Piety is always looking for a partner in conversation, it seems.

[tootsiepop]

Only to speak with him? [Huh.] I could speak with him if that's all he requested from you. It wouldn't be a problem.

[nosediving]

Whatever his reasons, I’m merely passing on the message.

Now, there is another question that I’d like to ask . . . It is on behalf of no one but myself, but what kind of offerings have you found that the great gods enjoy?

[tootsiepop]

... It varies from god to god. It would depend on who you'd like to speak with.

[nosediving]

Then . . . are there any great gods whom you think I should seek an audience with?

[tootsiepop]

[... He thinks about this for a moment, and nods.]

I've found Disorder to be pleasant enough company, though I know some of the others disagree. Justice is always happy to speak with anyone who would seek an audience with him... And I believe Ambition would appreciate the company.

[nosediving]

It was a rough trial for Great Ambition. I was surprised by her sudden appearance.

[tootsiepop]

It was. I didn't expect her to be so... distressed... over another god's wellbeing. This is a competition, after all.

[nosediving]

I didn't, either. It isn't so surprising when you think about it, though. They may be competing against each other now, but all the great gods will be collaborating under the winner in the future.
