[Hm. So death sure happened! Connor will be exploring the temple once the initial hubbub has passed... mostly out of a pre-programmed need to find evidence that he knows isn't there. It's during his explorations that he runs across Shang Qinghua, and stops in order to greet him.]

Good morning.

[... There is literally nothing good about this morning, but. It's okay. It's fine.]

[Connor's only being polite.

Shang Qinghua, too, has been roaming the temple as he often does, and stops when Connor greets him.]

Connor.

[He smiles, albeit with a hint of awkwardness behind the expression. Designation Connor, but that still strikes him as a little too familiar. He'll have to get used to it.]

I have not seen you in a while. It's good to see that you're still here.

[tootsiepop]

It is good to see that you're still here, as well.

[And, like, not inside of a coffin. You know.]

Today's events have been... unfortunate. How are you feeling?

[nosediving]

[If he were to wake up in a coffin, it would be a horrible day.]

I had spent the week preparing myself for this. Still, to think there would be four victims . . . Isn't one already excessive?

[tootsiepop]

It is. But as we can see... someone had a different idea.

[Ha ha. If they're stressed now............]

This doesn't bode well for tomorrow's trial.

Emotions will run high. Last week, you were among those who remained calm throughout the ordeal. If you could grace us with that level-headed approach again, it would be a great boon to all participants.

[tootsiepop]

Human emotions are unpredictable, but you can count on me. I will do everything I can to maintain the peace.

[... And then the trial proceeded to go even worse than last time. Sad trombone.]

[He smiles wryly.]

It's no burden. Improving human lives is what I was made for, after all... But your offer is appreciated nonetheless.

A plethora of tasks. However, I am a prototype — designed for the express purpose of assisting law enforcement officials.

You assist in enforcing law. I take back what I carelessly said just now—rather than unfair, managing order at the trial is a task that suits you perfectly.
