[Morning has passed. With no time to waste, Shang Qinghua hastily makes his way over to the duo. He looks at Connor, then Guy, and lets out a cough.]

Ahem . . . With respect, Qinghua requests to speak with Connor's charge. [He looks at Connor again.] It would be good if you were to see this, too.

Which is to say— Shang Qinghua might as well have yeeted himself into an abyss full of crazy, given the way this week has proceeded. Connor looks tense when he's approached, and it only gets worse when SQH refers to Guy as his charge. With an expression on his face that can only be likened to a deer caught in the headlights, Connor ducks his head and grits out:]

... Proceed.

[Hm. Weird.]

[menially]

[/distant jaws music/

Guy just kind of half rolls his eyes at Connor, closing the space with the stranger with a nod.]

Alright. What's on your mind?

[nosediving]

[With a bewildered look thrown Connor's way, Shang Qinghua refocuses on Guy.]

This is our first time speaking, so you'll have to forgive me for being frank.

Hiro Hamada, Ishikirimaru, and Kogoro Mouri. Among these participants, what do you have in common with them? Do you know?

Do you mean something in common across all three in total, or just individually?

All three . . . However, it must be something that's more common in the young man—Hiro Hamada.

...Nothing that I'm aware of, unfortunately. I haven't even really spoken with Mouri, outside of the trials.

Gulping, he reaches in his robe to pull out a piece of paper. He holds it out for Guy and Connor to read: Guy (XX) Hiro (XXXX) Ishikirimaru (XX) Mouri (XX)]

I was on that list, too, though I had way more markings than this. We never figured that one out, either...
